Automobile manufacturers are behind in terms of digitalization

Digitalisation penetrates all economic and business sectors, creates new markets and new customer needs. However, the automotive industry is not setting itself as the forerunner of this profound change. A study of the business consultants Batter & Company shows that the automotive industry has a tremendous need to catch up in terms of digitalisation: only three out of 20 analysed OEMs (= Original Equipped Manufacturer) satisfy the numerous requirements of the stakeholders.
